Corridor is proud to be sponsoring the Hawks FC Awards this coming Saturday for the end of year presentations. We love the tee with our logo. Thanks to Ryan at Dockerills
A great weekend for the Corridor team. We kicked it off with awarding our under 16 photography competition winners with a digital Nikon camera each. The competition entitled 'My Shot' offered the chance to not only win a camera, but be mentored at several Sussex wide sporting events in the coming weeks. Today our first winner headed out to sea with Brighton Sailing Club. A big thank you to Jim and the team for looking after us so very well.
The images taken by our 'My Shot' winners will be part of Corridor's work in the East Stand at the new American Express Community Stadium.
Corridor is working with 11 foundation students at Brighton's City College to design a series of bespoke screen prints of some of the Albions football legends. Working across each decade since 1901, the team has been using a variety of techniques to bring to life 11 very different expressions of each player. The final results will be on show at the new Amex Stadium later this year.
Corridor likes to challenge the way we gather our collective in different spaces. We have long asked why couldn't we use existing negative spaces in office buildings to better effect for communal thinking and ideas. We are pleased that American Express agrees with our way of thinking, and has kindly donated rooms at both their Brighton sites for Corridor to play in. We are in the process of inviting the collective and community based groups to participate in a series of creative sessions to bring to life our ideas and designs for the new football stadium.
Was great to be part of the first TEDx series to be held in Brighton yesterday. Corridor caught up with a bunch of people and listened to some enlightened talks about a range of topics. Our favourite was Sarah Angliss who merged industrial mills with clogs, dance, onstage music and wit.
Corridor has been working closely with Lorna Love from Pro Bush. We've just sent over this cheeky identity for the coming series of cultural events and exhibitions we will be hosting and curating with Lorna.
